An interesting article on MarketingProfs by Adrian Carol Ott talks of the ’5Ts of Marketing Operations’. As a foundation to the 4Ps [Product, Place, Price, Promotion] and the 3Cs [Customers, Competitors, Corporation] of marketing, the 5Ts are sure to increase marketing effectiveness.
With the rise of globalisation causing rapid techonological advances and increased competition in the marketplace, it is important to consider the ‘how’ of marketing operations as well as the ‘who’ [3Cs] and the ‘what’ [4Ps].
The 5Ts enforce the importance of strategy as a competitive advantage; new technology to reach markets otherwise constrained by time, geographic and/or demographic barriers; predictive modelling, tracking and measuring marketing effectiveness; and the importance of training and positioning talent.
