Bluejacking

‘Bluejacking’ is a relatively new and somewhat bizarre phenomena of sending unsolicited messages over Bluetooth to Bluetooth-enabled devices such as mobile phones, PDAs or laptop computers. It involves sending a vCard which typically contains a message in the name field to another bluetooth enabled device.

Comfortable ol’ Adelaide

Listening to the radio last night while driving home from work I tuned in to 5AA to hear Ken ‘KG†Cunningham and Tony Cornes talking about the success of the television show ‘Postcards’.  They thought part of it’s success could be attributed to it being a ‘comforting’ show about South Australia and also because South Australian’s are so loyal to their State. It’s trendy to be the same

Trends are people, social contexts, economies and companies in movement. They are hard to get, tricky to understand, and a challenge to share. But trends mean business. The earlier and [more importantly] the better you get it, the smartest and the safest your move. But the world has changed and continues to change. No longer are we living in the relatively isolated social or cultural communities which once existed before the Internet, cable television and mobile phones with built in computers and cameras took over our lives. There is generally an inefficiency of the Australian corporate sector in understanding or listening to the science behind high technology products and its inability to maximise the efficiency of innovative systems. Listening to technology is standard practice in the United States, however despite all the noise and enthusiasm for blogging, senior executives still don’t really “get” corporate blogging.
